Something is wrong, very wrong!
Something was wrong in Wuhan early in 2020 when the media was saturated with images of people suddenly dropping dead in the street like flies hit by a Mortein spray. Then there was the welding up of doors in housing apartments to make sure no one could escape to spread the death dealing plaque. Well, we all know now that Covid does not create that kind of scenario and how many apartment doors and door frames are made of steel that can be welded. It was all a charade to create fear and panic, although those scenes are now discredited, it is too late to close the barn door, the covid horse of fear has bolted and like a stage 4 cancer has spread across the international body governing our political decision making and thus our lives to this day. As President Roosevelt famously said during the dark depression years the only thing we should fear is fear itself.

Vaccine passports are coming
The driver is the quest for herd immunity
The percentage of the population that needs to give herd immunity against a disease depends on the disease, for Covid it is thought to be at least 80%. Recent polling shows that 33% of Australians are either refusing or reluctant to get the jab. This statistic does not bode well for a Government intent on achieving “herd immunity” as they firmly believe this is the only way for us to move freely within our borders.

ANZAC day 2021 “Keeping freedom alive”
Today we live in a world where the freedoms that our ANZACS fought for are being steadily and alarmingly eroded. Our Judaeo-Christian foundations are being mocked and traditional family values increasingly cast as outmoded. Those on the “left” are hellbent on diminishing ANZAC day for the very reasons listed above. Academics like Prof. Jim McKay, when referring to the increased interest of Australians in our ANZAC history, called it an “excessive militarisation of Australian history.” That statement shows that he has little understanding of the significance of our ANZAC legacy to most Australians. ANZAC day is primarily about values, such as mateship, service, sacrifice and perseverance. Even our ABC refuses to rebuke detestable comments about ANZAC day by one of its commentators Jasmin Abdel-Magied.

World War 3 has started
This headline may seem overly dramatic, but is it, given the undeniable turmoil that is happening world- wide? Firstly, we need to understand major wars with conventional weapons including nuclear are now basically
relegated to history in my view. Massive military build ups are mostly more pertinent to dissuasion rather than invasion. There is simply no need for them, even for the most ideologically driven nations, the risk clearly outweighs the reward. Modern technology with its reliance on the internet has brought great advances but has also made us far more vulnerable to attack. Critical utilities such as banking, transport, energy and communications have nerve centres that can be taken out with a single strike bringing a country to its knees. Economic sanctions alone seem to have limited effect, check Iran. However, a limited strike using precision guided munitions, including that of an Electro Magnetic Pulse weapon would be devastating to a modern economy, but this overt form of attack usually brings unwarranted international criticism and unlikely to occur.

“Keeping the story alive”
Today we live in a world where the freedoms that our ANZACS fought for are being steadily and alarmingly eroded, especially that of “freedom of expression.” Our Judaeo-Christian foundations are being mocked and traditional family values increasingly cast as outmoded. President Reagan in his famous inauguration speech said, “Freedom is a fragile thing and it's never more than one generation away from extinction. It is not ours by way of inheritance; it must be fought for and defended constantly by each generation.”
